My Story

I am "mom", otherwise known as Tarah Day

I decided to create a blog after being terrorized by toddlers all day and looking around seeing the mine field of scattered toys, peanut butter smeared on the table from lunch (it was well after 9 pm) and being mom shamed in the grocery store by a complete stranger for being a working mom. I went to mindlessly scroll through social media and all I saw was insta-perfect kitchens, playrooms, outfits, bodies, well behaved children, 5 course gourmet meals, you get the picture. It was all the highlights reel from everyone's day. It left me feeling like a failure as I took in the mess around me and questioned when I last washed my hair.

I AM NOT A FAILURE! I do my best everyday and sometimes that is simply just showing up and loving my babies with my whole and utterly exhausted heart. I wanted to highlight the good, the bad and ugly for the real life moms to prevent you from feeling how I did. So here is my real, raw, messy life. I will share tips, tricks and hacks I have learned along the way.

I have 3 babies, 3 and under. T is 3.5, GG is 1.5 and H is 2 months old. They all have their own unique personalities and the second I figure it out, they change it up on me. I am an IVF momma, emergent C-section and V-back momma, surprise pregnancies, suffered debilitating postpartum anxiety and depression. I love my compression leggings, am striving to get this mom bod back in shape, enjoy cooking and fitness. I work as an ER nurse manager and sexual assault nurse examiner. I have 2 dogs. My husband is a total babe and works long hours, so I solo parent ALOT.

Welcome to my real, raw, unfiltered, non photoshopped, messy life!
