Pre kids I thought self care was a long bubble bath, sleeping in, indulging in extra wine. I have learned that self care is so much more. Self care is forcing myself out of bed before the kids wake up to enjoy a hot cup of coffee and watch the morning news. Self care is hitting the home gym (perks of being married to a strength coach) or getting a babysitter so I can attend a HITT class. Self care is my skin routine. Self care is packing a healthy lunch to fuel my day. Self care is listening to audiobooks on how to better myself. Self care is prayer. Self care is is my morning pump up play list. Mommas, find what makes you feel good and find the time, even if it means getting a babysitter or ignoring your kids (yes. I said ignore them. Set up a physically safe space and let them play) so you can also take care of you. You deserve the best version if you.
